Treasure Baskets – brimming with wondrous resources

Our Treasure Baskets are a wonderful art resource and will provide hours of fun in your art space.  Your children can use them to explore texture and be inspired to recreate them in their in their art work.  You can encourage children to describe an item such a spiky or smooth.  As they create they can then keep these words in their heads in order to bring these textures to life.

Perhaps you will choose to use these baskets in order to make prints.  What will happen when your children dip a pine cone in paint and press it on a page?  Perhaps they can make a shell pattern on a page?  Alternatively, they can paint a shell different colours to see how it is formed.  These resources will provide a myriad of artistic experiments for your children to conduct.  Moreover, they are learning to observe and describe the results of their experiments.

Your children could also use these sets to make a beautiful image made from natural products.  However you choose to utilise these baskets, the ethical and environmentally friendly resources are sure to create joy in your classroom.
