Phonics
Phonics are a keystone to literacy learning. It forms the basics of all reading and is an essential skill in primary education. When your children grasp the basics of early years phonics they are starting to understand how each letter makes a different sound. Once they have mastered individual sounds, they can start to mix and combine letters to see what happens.
As they become more and more familiar with combinations, for example a “th” sound or “sh” sound, they can mix to create words.
Our resources provide a teaching aid that will encourage your youngsters to mix and match sounds to make familiar words. Recognising phonetic combinations is just the start of a child’s reading and writing journey. Our resources are here to help you engage and encourage your children.
