Trikes
Encouraging a child to ride a tricycle is a great way of helping them develop balance and coordination. When using a trike all parts of the body are exercised. Children have to learn to pedal and steer at the same time. This helps them to understand how different parts of their bodies perform different actions. Coordination is the first step towards them having confidence. Subsequently the develop gross and fine motor skills in order progress onto a bike. Trikes allow toddlers to hone several motor skills at once. They begin to develop a sense of independence as they learn to push the pedals themselves. Watch them proudly generate enough power to move their trike unaided.
