Noticeboards – It’s all in the presentation!

The children have been preparing their individual pieces of work that will be displayed on the noticeboards and presentation display panels around school. Ofsted is due in, or it could be parent’s evening is on the horizon. So it is time to showcase the children’s efforts be it in spelling, drawing, creative writing or art. Where and how are you going to display them?!

There is a huge variety of noticeboards and presentation display boards for you to choose from. There are lockable, tamperproof noticeboards for high traffic areas where the information is important and needs to be protected behind polycarbonate doors. This type of notice board comes with aluminium or timber frames and a multitude of fabric colours to choose from. For more informal notices such as school events, or printed posters unframed noticeboards are perfect. With a stable and hard wearing core substrate they are long lasting and can be butted together to form a long run of boards.

Noticeboards which are to be put in areas at high traffic areas such as corridors, escape routes etc, must also be fire retardant. There are two classes of fire retardancy:

Class 0 – this is the highest category. Class 0 noticeboards have a coated protected surface which not only minimises the spread of flames but it also limits the amount of heat released from the surface during a fire.

Class 1 – noticeboards just have the coated protected surface to minimise the spread of surface flames during a fire.

The traditional style of noticeboard is still very popular and are a mainstay to school and nursery display solutions. However there is a new kind of noticeboard on the market called Pin Panelz. Fire retardant to Class 1 they offer a completely bespoke solution to display and noticeboards. They come in a huge range of pantone colours, primary colours and shades. Vibrant, colourful and stylish they provide a modern way to display the children’s work. In addition they also accept Blu-Tac as well as the more traditional push pin.

Outdoor signs are usually the first thing visitors to your school see.  So having smart, eye catching yet informative signage is important in order to make a good first impression. Outdoor signs allow you to convey both the identity of the school as well as important information to visitors to school in an eye catching way. With sunk posts, surface mounted or wall mounted options the large outdoor notice boards are perfect for any terrain.  For primaries and nurseries the themed outdoor signs are simply perfect. Whether it is a tree, elephant, frog etc visitors to the school will love this fantastic outdoor notice board range.

So with such a diverse range of noticeboards to choose from there is no excuse to not have the corridors and classrooms decked out in noticeboards to display the children’s work before the parents – or Ofsted – arrive.
