Dolls Houses

 

Boys and girls benefit from playing with dolls and dolls houses in many ways. Through creative role play they learn about themselves, other cultures: the similarities and differences, as well as expressing emotions through social and caregiving skills.

From traditional wooden dolls houses to holiday apartments and villas, dolls houses have come a long way since the exclusive dolls houses of the Victorian era. All our dolls houses are definitely designed to be played with. Most of our dolls houses are made of wood and are large enough to accommodate group play. Children and their dolls house community can pretend to live in a Giant Treehouse, a holiday apartment complete with swimming pool and beach, a villa, a cottage or palace.

The dolls we stock are designed to reflect the multicultural society in which your pupils will grow up. Choose World Dolls that are designed to reflect a diverse population and ethnic groups including: African, Far Eastern (Oriental), European and South American. Each set comes with a boy and girl dressed in traditional outfits.

Our range of Anatomical Dolls have fully articulated limbs and are washable. They can be used for traditional caregiving and nurturing role play – being mummy, daddy, big sister, big brother – but they can also be used to learn about health and self care. These dolls are available in 4 ethnic groups: African, Asian, Far Easter (Oriental) and European. Similarly, our multiracial range of Baby Dolls and Soft Bodied Dolls can be dressed, cuddled and taken care of just like a newborn.

Once baby is washed, dressed, fed and well cared for, your little caregivers can show off their own little one by taking it for a walk in one of our realistic range of dolls’ push chairs, strollers and prams.
