During the day we do certain actions, many with little conscious thought as they have become automatic and are therefore habit. One such daily action which is often repeated several times during the day is washing our hands. As adults, we know and understand the importance of washing our hands regularly to minimise cross infection and reduce the spread of germs and bacteria. Children need to be taught that washing hands is the first line of defense against germs. It is never too early for us to teach children about the importance of hand washing and the benefits of personal hygiene.
It is not always possible however to have access to an indoor plumbed sink and fresh soap and running water. This is particularly true for outside classroom activities. Children may have been enjoying muddy play time, busy making leaf and twig stew or a mud and grass cheesecake. When they have finished it is extremely important that they are able to wash their hands. A portable sink is ideal for this purpose, providing children with access to soap and warm running water.
Our unique portable sink units provide a warm water hand washing facility, perfect for little hands. The completely self-contained units keep water warm for several hours once filled with pre-heated water. Each unit also has a unique waste receptacle which retains all the dirty water which can be emptied when the hot water is replenished. The lightweight Flip-tap is perfect for little fingers, enabling children to activate a steady flow of warm water. The ‘Flip-tap’ is simple to use so there is no contamination from dirty taps.

This unit has a carry strap for transportation and has a flat base which enables it to be positioned on any stable level surface, both indoors and out, so it’s always at just the right height for little ones to wash their hands. This unit provides a minimum of 15 twelve second hand washes per filling.
This free standing portable sink unit is perfect for indoor or outdoor use The water container holds 8 litres of fresh warm water which is enough for 40 ten second washes. With wheels and a handle this portable sink is light and easily transported.

To compliment the portable sink units is our Soap & Towel Holder. Whilst it is essential that young children learn how and when to wash their hands properly it is just as important for children to learn how to dry them. Effective use of soap and proper drying techniques with disposable paper towels are so much easier to achieve when the soap and towels are actually attached to your hand-wash unit.
Portable Sinks are the next best thing compared to traditional sinks in areas where standard handwashing is not available. They are fun and easy to use and encourage and engage children to participate in good hygiene practice and learn to banish the bugs.
